Russia’s richest woman is to buy up to 5 Irish Hotels

Morison hotel owner Elena Baturina is currently in the process of making acquisitions in the Irish market for her 200m Euro hotel fund. Some of her prospective hotels include the Trinity Capital, the Clarison IFSC and Clarion Airport hotels in Dublin.
She has her eyes on five hotels in Ireland to fulfill her plans of 14 four-star properties in Europe by 2015. “New projects depend on what is available on the market; it’s a question of attractive possibilities. But most importantly, they are definitely looking”, an informed source let us know. Although Elena has not restricted herself to the Dublin market.

According to Forbes, Elena Baturina is the wealthiest woman in Russia. She originally worked as a factory worker but then struck gold when she married former Moscow mayor Yury Luzhkov. She became rich fast by involved in the construction industry in Russia in the 90’s and by selling the company Ineco (worth over €1bn) in 2011. She currently resides in both Britain and Austria.
